feelin' da flow
I blame faizal and yap for getting me hooked on hip-hop once more. hey, blame isn't always a bad thing... ( i hope you buy that!) greetings once again earthlings and welcome to xavillisation once more!
12 more days to the next passing out parade... oh boy, this is just like the elections, except that this time, people actually care! in a blink of an eye, 11 weeks have zoomed past faster than jin feng negotiates corners with his van(thats 60-80kmph mind you, in a van, yes.)! i've had great times with my BFSC peeps who were just mere strangers since the last post. right now, all 24 of us ( alright cept maybe 1 or 2 ) are like brothers. Isn't that what everyone who's gone through NS cherishes the most? The "brothers" ?
just 12 more days to go guys, i'll see yall at POP!
Thanks( or no thanks? ) to you guys, I've been selected to represent the 9th Division Infantry for the Army Half Marathon ( some 21km run ). i must say that i am very honoured to be able to get such an oppurtunity but this would mean that yours truly would have his weekend mornings burnt. im currently struggling with a series of leg injuries and i hope that i'll recover in time to bang a gold award for IPPT! if i don't then i'll hafta go bang someone... i mean, something else... heh heh!
Throughout this course, we did a hell lot of interesting things. We had rappelling, omega descends, canvas jumps, lotsa swimming and aqua aerobics, just to name a few. Just last tuesday, i passed the toughest part of the entire PTI course : The Combat Physical Fitness Test. For CPFT, we have to swim 150metres in our long 4 with a dummy rifle. on our third lap, we exit the pool and proceed to execute a jump from 3m high into the pool and carry on with another 50m swim. Thereafter, we have to consume a big mac meal with lime juice... i wish! so after the swim, while we're all soaking wet, we put on our socks and boots and our 15kg load and proceed with a 1.5km run to the obstacle course where we have to clear 10 standard obstacles. its really tough with all that load and when u're soaking wet! after doing so, you'll have to complete a gruelling 3.5km run to the finishing point. All this is to be done in 52 mins. Im happy that all that's over for me and maybe now i'll finish up the big mac meal part of CPFT...
Anyways, anyone who's interested in training or exercise or maintaining a healthy lifestyle and would like some advice or personal coaching, please feel free to approach me. it'd be great if i could have a bunch of khakis for runs and gym so do yell at me if you're interested! Im also looking for soccer khakis for weekend soccer games!
Life's just beautiful at the moment. its more relaxed now that the course is coming to an end and im getting back on the social track fast and i can only see things get better and better. This course has made me lead a more enjoyable and interesting lifestyle by balancing outdoor and indoor activities. ( well some activities can be done at both places... ;) ) now all i've gotta do is to rope in my peeps and get em to enjoy the great outdoors as well! ( and no i don't mean an orgy... ) to all who read this, god bless you, me and brazil to win the world cup!
Till then, Endure and Excel!
